Scuba Diving Courses in Cardiff, Swansea and South Wales.
PADI Open Water Diver .
The PADI Open Water Dive course is your ticket into the undersea world. PADI is the world wide Scuba Diving Training organisation currently training over 80% of the worlds diving population.
The Open Water Diving Course is a structured plan of practical and theoretical sessions to start you off as an established diver.
The course is in three parts, Part 1 and 2 consisting of pool diving and diving theory sessions. Theory takes the form of informal instruction. After reading the manual and watching a video, you can discuss topics of interest with your instructor in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. This helps you gain a strong knowledge base which you will take with you to the pool. The Practical sessions lets you practice all the theory you have learned in a safe and fun enviroment. Under the supervision of your instructor, you will practice all the skills needed for enjoyable diving.
Part 1 and 2 includes:-
- Personal Instruction (theory and practical)
- Your manual and Crew Pack
- All diving equipment
Part 3 consists of Four Open Water Dives. Your instructor will take you to an open water location where, over a weekend, you complete four open water dives, again under expert instruction. This is the opportunity to try out all you have learned in part 3, in the big blue.
If you prefer however, you can complete your open water training by doing a Referral course. You simply pick anywhere in the world where you wish to complete your four open water dives, we find you a PADI dive school near by and refer you to them or we'll take you there and train you ourselves. It's as easy as that!
Part 3 Includes:-
- All Personal Instruction
- All equipment
- Air fills / pool entrance fees
- PADI International Worldwide certification
Complete Part 3 and that's it! You have a qualification that is recognised all over the world enabling you to hire equipment and dive safely up to 18 metres. Plus, once you have passed with us, you join all the other trained divers from Ocean Quest on organised trips away and other social activities.
